- Check your shelves. My company will pay cash for the following products:
-
- BLACK BOX DATA PABX SL100A or SL110-C or SL120 or parts thereof.
-
- This box is basically a RS-232 router. It consists of a system unit (approx
- 5"H x 19"W x 11"D). Into the box may go up to four cards. Each card supports
- 16 RS-232 connections (DB25's). The unit is used to provide RS-232 routing
- from one port (say, a modem) to any one of the remaining 15 ports. The unit
- has intelligence and can be programmed to display a menu of available ports.
- After the connection is done, the user issues a BREAK signal to get back to
- the front menu to choose another port, or hang up.
-
- Black Box was the most recent distributer. I believe the unit was originally
- manufactured by Rose Electronics of Texas. I've also seen is distributed
- under the name of MASTER SWITCH. Orginal manufacturing terminated somwhere in
- the late 80's.
-
- I know similar products exist today, but they are not suitable to the remote
- un-manned (un-personned?) sites that I need. The current breed seem to be
- good for office use -- if they lock up, you just go & reset them. That would
- cost me a plane flight.
-
- If you have something, e-mail me with your phone number & I'll call you.
